Information about working as a student

The Student@work website provides information about working as a student. Who is a working student? How many hours can you work as a student? What does it mean for your pay, child benefits or taxes to work as a student? This site gives you the answers - or helps you to find them.

Checking your quota

As of 1 January 2017 you as a student have 475 hours per year in which you can work with reduced social contributions. These 475 hours make up your quota.

From this website, you will have rapid access to the Student@work application, in which you can check how much you can still work with reduced social contributions.

Who is behind this?

This website and the Student@work application are an initiative of the National Social Security Office (NSSO).
